The Single Most Important Factor in Vacation Planning

Lisa in a colorful dress and sun hat stands joyfully with arms outstretched on a dock in front of the Royal Caribbean ship, Utopia of the Seas, with a bright blue sky in the background.

I am home from my fun-filled preview cruise on Royal Caribbean's brand-new ship, Utopia of the Seas.

It was an incredible honor to be onboard and share in the momentous occasion.

I had a truly fabulous time onboard, as I find great joy in experiencing the various aspects of a ship and thinking about which of my clients would enjoy it.

Some highlights from my 3-night voyage included touring the wide range of staterooms and suites available for guests, taste-testing my way through the specialty dining venues, and enjoying the brand-new production shows in the theater, Aquatheater, and ice rink.

My conclusion is that the Utopia of the Seas is a great experience for the right client, but not for every client.

It is definitely leaning into the “Weekend Party” vibe, as it is a loud, busy ship, packed with plentiful activities and venues to enjoy. Seeing and doing it all in 3 or 4 days is next to impossible.

It's great fun, and many people will love it, but not everyone will.

And that is the single most important factor in vacation planning.

Know yourself.

Do you enjoy a festive atmosphere or peaceful? Educationally enriching or entertainment focused? Is the price tag the most important detail, or the service level onboard? Are the bells and whistles on the ship important, or is it simply a means of transportation to new destinations? Do you want production shows for entertainment, or more classical & cultural performances?

Knowing yourself and your answers to these questions, then staying true to them, is what will help me find the best fit for YOUR travels.

Simply because a ship is new and shiny, or receiving a lot of press, doesn’t make it the right fit for YOU.

We'll figure out the best option together. That's why I'm here. I'll look forward to hearing from you so we can get started planning YOUR next great adventure.
