Adventure Awaits All Ages on the Disney Treasure

Lisa S.

Disney Cruise Line has long been celebrated for its ability to create unforgettable experiences for travelers of all ages, from toddlers to grandparents.

As the newest ship in the fleet, the Disney Treasure continues this tradition by blending immersive storytelling, world-class entertainment, and exceptional service to delight guests of every generation.

In this article, I’m thrilled to share our family’s adventure aboard the Disney Treasure, showcasing perspectives from four generations of our immediate family.

I hope our musings will both entertain you and reveal how unique and magical a Disney Cruise Line vacation can be for guests of all ages.

Having been on every ship in the fleet, I can say hands down that the Treasure is my favorite Disney Cruise Line vessel. With a focus on adventure, every detail of the ship reflects the excitement of this theme. The Grand Hall is stunning, with gorgeous mosaics capturing the feel of Aladdin's Agrabah. The fabulous artwork continues throughout the vessel, with paintings, sculptures, tapestries and mosaics surprising and delighting around every turn.

The entertainment onboard exceeds the already high standards set across the fleet. The new Moana show is spectacular, with both talent and effects beyond compare. Disney truly outdid themselves with this one!  Coriander and Sage, comical, brilliant storytellers bring adventures to life in unique ways throughout the voyage, drawing in the crowd and mesmerizing the audience with their tales.

Another subtle aspect of the experience that I really enjoyed was the focus on your family story. It's not about magic making wishes come true (not that I'm opposed to that!), but rather knowing who and where you come from, and embracing the journey life has for you.

From celebrating the culture of Polynesia in the Moana show, and the traditions of Mexico at Plaza de Coco, family heritage was a truly beautiful focal point onboard.

I love traveling in general, but get great enjoyment out of a Disney cruise! Unless you have experienced a Disney cruise, it is hard to explain the magical feeling it brings.

Recently, I was fortunate to cruise on Disney’s newest ship, the Treasure! The theming throughout the ship is amazing. Everywhere you turn you notice some other detail that you had missed. This ship had beautiful mosaics, paintings and themed restaurants that were amazing!

The friendliness and attention to making us feel special was everywhere you turned. Oh, and if you love meeting Disney characters, a cruise is definitely the best way to do it. You never know who will be around the corner waiting to interact with you and share a photo. Seeing young and old enjoying themselves always makes me smile!!!

Memories were made that will never be forgotten!!

The Disney Treasure definitely lived up to its theme of Adventure. With lounges crafted out of rides like Haunted Mansion Parlor, Periscope Pub, and Skipper Society, it brought magic to even casual drinks and hangouts.

Plaza de Coco dining, which combined great Mexican dinners with two nights of entertainment, was a very fun highlight as well. The Moana show with its Broadway level singing, acting and special effects was a spectacular way to end the cruise.

I had an incredible time aboard the Disney Treasure, and one of the highlights was definitely the energy and enthusiasm of Brandon, one of the cast members. He seemed to be everywhere—whether he was leading a tour, hosting a game show, dancing in a performance, or just bringing a lot of fun to each event. His versatility was impressive, and we even joked that he must’ve been the human version of the Beast from Beauty and the Beast, as he truly seemed to embody the spirit of the ship's entertainment. Brandon’s infectious personality made the experience even more magical and unforgettable.

I really liked the baby race and the Haunted Mansion Lounge and the kids club. That was really fun. You could do whatever you want and play games.

The food on the cruise was great. They had Minnie ice cream with different flavors each day and you could do mixes of ice cream. At dinner, my server would give me cherry sparkling water with 3 candied cherries.

Our family vacation aboard the Disney Treasure was truly filled with wonder and magic (pun intended for fellow Disney fans).

The stage shows were absolutely stunning—by far the best I’ve seen on any cruise line or previous Disney ships—with fantastical sets and incredibly talented entertainers.

The destinations we visited were packed with fun, and some of our favorite highlights were feeding stingrays, tubing in Jamaica, and tasting authentic jerk chicken.

Each evening at dinner, I found myself struggling to choose from all the delicious-sounding options, and the variety of restaurants was amazing. One standout was Coco—it felt like dining in an adorable Mexican restaurant under the glow of string lights.

For a little extra magic on your next Disney cruise, I highly recommend asking Lisa about how to get involved with pixie dust! Guests left the most thoughtful surprises for our daughter and family, and hearing her delighted gasps when we’d return to find treasures at our door was priceless.

Overall, it was an unforgettable experience filled with magical moments and memories we’ll cherish for a lifetime.
